OUR PROCESS

    1.    Submit a Membership Application – Tell us about yourself, your clay journey, and what you’re looking for in a studio.

    2.    Hear Back from Us – Within 10 days, we’ll review your application and let you know the next steps: either scheduling a studio tour or recommending classes to continue building your skills.

    3.    Tour the Studio – Visit Liver Mush, meet our community, and explore the space. If it feels like the right fit, and spots are available, we’ll offer you a membership.

A Few Things to Know

    •    We welcome artists of all skill levels into our classes, but membership is only considered for those with 6+ months of consistent lessons and the ability to commit to a 3-month minimum term.

    •    Memberships are designed for independent makers. That means you’ll need a solid understanding of the full ceramic process and enough class or practice experience to confidently work on your own. You don’t need to be a master ceramicist, but you should be at an intermediate/advanced level.

    •    If we determine you’re not quite ready, don’t be discouraged! This simply means we believe you’ll benefit more from guided instruction before joining as a member. Students who grow within our classes are prioritized for membership when openings become available.

    •    Not sure where you fit? We suggest starting with one of our intermediate, advanced, or independent study classes—our instructors will help guide your growth toward membership.

    •    For those brand new to clay, we’d be honored to support you in your learning journey. We encourage you to explore one of our beginner-friendly classes first.
